María Margarita, a member of a family living in a mining town in the Atacama Desert (Chile), is the youngest of four siblings. For this family, the most special time of the week is Sunday when they go to the cinema to escape their daily lives by immersing themselves in stories. The family soon realizes that the young girl has a very special talent: an almost mystical ability to narrate movies. As the girl's extraordinary gift spreads throughout the village, the fate of her family changes as the entire country is transformed forever.
